Who we are
Cafe Bella Aurora are 4 siblings with roots directly tied to generations in the world of coffee production dating back to the 1950’s. Growing up around coffee, we have been given the legacy to continue with passion the family tradition in the coffee world. We are excited to bring and share a great quality cup of coffee with family, friends and everyone reading this. Along the way, our dream is to expand and share this passion for coffee with our customers.
Where it started
Everything began with our great grandfather, Emilio Gutierrez, who was one of the pioneers of the coffee industry back in the 1950s in Dipilto, Nicaragua. The value and tradition of coffee were passed on to our grandfather, Joaquin Augusto Lovo. He took the coffee business and continued to grow the farms. Later on, our dad, Luis Joaquin Lovo & his brother David Ariel Lovo, took over to focus on producing specialty coffee. Our father has been producing quality coffee, gaining international awareness, and winning several premier specialty coffee competitions. Today, the Lovo’s heritage includes three generations of growers and exporters. Now, a fourth generation of 4 siblings are taking this legacy to the next level by importing and roasting our longtime family coffee tradition. Our goal remains the same: provide you with quality coffee so you enjoy the best cup of coffee.
Why the name of Bella Aurora
So what does the name mean? Just like the family tradition of coffee farming, the name is part of our legacy as well. The first farm that was purchased by our grandfather was named after his mother, Aurora. The word Bella in Spanish means Beautiful. My grandfather alluded to the beauty of his mother, and he named his first farm Bella Aurora or Beautiful Aurora in english. Not only was our grandfather's mother beautiful, but also he named the farm because of the astonishing dawn you get to see from the mountains where our family’s farms are located. With every new sunrise, we want you to get a freshly brewed coffee from Cafe Bella Aurora. We want you to get transported to the mountains and enjoy a great quality cup of coffee. We will continue the legacy brought to us by naming our business “Cafe Bella Aurora”.
